Her heart flipped in her chest when the truck slowed and Lexis began to pray to whoever was out in the universe and heavens for someone to save her.
She didn’t want to die. She had too much to do and too much to look forward to.
Lexis was going to fight with everything she had.

Preston had never been so glad to see a helicopter in the air in his life. The air support division had only been in the sky for about fifteen or so minutes, but that was long enough for the crew to spot the truck. The copilot was giving regular coordinates over the radio.
As far as he could tell, he was only minutes behind. Adam had updated him not long before. He and Jonah were maybe a minute further back than he was. They’d been caught up in a mini traffic jam when two cars had collided after trying to avoid their killer’s dangerous driving.
Traffic was becoming sparser and sparser for which he was grateful, because it meant that fewer people were in jeopardy.
He was nearing an intersection and was about to turn onto Ripplebrook Road when another update came in from air support. The truck was on the Clackamas Highway. Two minutes later, the helicopter crew reported that the attacker was heading to the Ripplebrook Campground. Preston hoped there were no innocent people about, and if they were, that they kept their distance from the evil fuck. The last thing he needed was a bloodbath on his hands.
His main concern was getting Lexis into the safety of his arms. He didn’t want to be distracted by having to worry about other innocent bystanders.
Preston was scared he’d be too late. When he realized he was thinking negatively again, he pushed those thoughts aside. He couldn’t, wouldn’t fail.
Lexis was depending on him and he wasn’t about to let her down.

Shoving her fear and all other emotions away was difficult, but she managed to get herself under control just as the truck began to slow.
This was it.
This was the do or die time.
There was no way to prepare herself for what she was about to face or endure. Lexis was about to face her sister’s murderer.
The vehicle stopped and the engine was turned off. A breeze wafted over her when the front door was opened, and while it was difficult to ignore the urge to peek, she kept her eyes closed and her breathing as regular as possible.
The only advantage she had was that she was alert and he didn’t know it. The door near her feet was opened and hard, cruel hands gripped her ankles and pulled. Her breath hitched as her body slid across the back seat, but she kept her muscles loose and supple as she gripped the screwdriver in her hand even tighter.
His hands left her legs, grasped her upper arms, pulling her body upright. The hammering in her skull intensified when she let her head fall forward until her chin nearly hit her chest, and her stomach roiled. As she was tugged from the vehicle, she tried to control the urge to move too soon. He grunted as she fell into him, and he stepped back, trying to keep his balance as she dropped down to her knees. Even though she had her eyes closed, the sun was bright but darkened as he bent over her. The moment he removed his hand from her arm was the moment she’d been waiting for.
Lexis struck hard and fast, jabbing the pointed end of the screwdriver at her aggressors face. The metal shaft stabbed into his flesh and kept right on going until it was in up to the handle. His cry of agony was like music to her ears.
His other hand dropped from her arm, and though she tried to stay up on her knees, she was dizzy and feeling sick to her stomach. She knew she couldn’t give in to the encroaching darkness and tried to breathe through the wooziness and sleepiness trying to pull her down.
She hit the ground on her side with a hard thud, blinking as she tried to focus and see where her attacker was, but everything was so blurry. She thought she saw the sick fucker lying on the ground a few feet from her, but couldn’t figure out what was going on.
Her churning stomach finally rebelled as she heaved and heaved some more. Her head was hurting so bad she was sure she was going to die from the pain—that was, if her sister’s murderer didn’t do her in first.
Tears welled over her eyelids just before the darkness claimed her again.

Preston was out of his truck before it had even stopped. He’d seen Lexis trying to fight her enemy, but now he couldn’t see either of them. He was breathing so hard and fast he was almost sobbing. He’d drawn his gun as soon as he was out of the vehicle, and he raised it as he skirted the back of the truck.
The sight that met his eyes shocked him so much he skidded to a halt. The fucker was lying on his back on the ground with a screwdriver embedded into his left eye so far only the handle was protruding. He wasn’t moving or breathing.
He staggered forward and was down on his knees next to Lexis less than a second later. She was covered in blood, but he couldn’t see where she’d been stabbed. He gripped the hem of her T-shirt, ripping it open to find her soft skin smooth and unmarred. He was aware of another vehicle pulling up, but he ignored it as he placed his fingers to Lexis’s pulse point at the base of her neck.
Discounting the tears rolling down his face when he felt her strong steady pulse, he flicked the safety on his gun and set his weapon on the ground, taking in the long, deep cut on the back of Lexis scalp. Her wrists and the back of her hands were bloody and torn, but she was still breathing. Lexis was still alive.
“Fuck!” Adam rasped out as he sank down on his knees beside him and their woman.
“Medivac is minutes out,” Jonah said as he tore strips from Lexis’s shirt, folded the material, and pressed it against her head wound.
Preston tugged his own shirt off, and after tearing it up, he wrapped her hands and wrists up trying to stop the flow of blood as well as preventing getting any more dirt in the cuts and tears. “She isn’t dead. She’s still breathing. She’s alive. Please, let her be okay,” Preston chanted over and over again.
“She’ll be okay, Preston.” Adam clasped his shoulder, drawing his gaze. “She has to be okay.”
“The paramedics are here,” Jonah rasped out. “We need to let them do their thing.”
“I’m not leaving her,” Preston said. He tried to pull away from Adam and Jonah when they lifted him to his feet and out of the medics’ way.
“Stop it, Preston. Get a hold of yourself. She’s in good hands now,” Adam stated firmly.
Preston sucked a ragged breath and nodded. Once the paramedics had Lexis loaded on a stretcher and headed toward the helicopter, he began to race after them. He tossed his truck keys back over to Jonah, then climbed into the chopper.
He hadn’t been fast enough, and Lexis had had to kill to save herself. He wondered if she’d ever forgive him for being too late.
This had been the longest day of his life and it still wasn’t over. As the craft lifted into the air, Preston prayed that Lexis would recover without any permanent injuries.
Epilogue
Four weeks later
Lexis had spent a total of eight days in the hospital. She’d had a hairline fracture of the skull and a severe concussion, but she was mostly recovered. Except for the occasional headache and dizziness, she was back to normal. She couldn’t remember much about the incident but didn’t really care.
All she cared about was that her sister’s killer was dead. She had no idea which one of her men killed the man who’d taken her sister from her, but she hadn’t asked and wasn’t going to. They hadn’t mentioned who killed the bastard either.
The forensics team had taken some of the psychopath’s DNA, which had led to the reopening of fifteen murder cases. It seemed the evil bastard had been killing off women for the last couple of years. Her heart went out to all the families who’d lost loved ones, and she hoped they could now get some closure as the knowledge of the murderer came to light.
Preston had also brought in voice recordings of the two men who’d attempted to hold up the diner and after she’d ident
ified them, they’d been charged and were in prison awaiting trial.
Preston, Jonah, and Adam had hardly left her side while she was in hospital or the next two weeks after she’d been released.
Her old boss, Marcus, had been to visit her, as had Ana and her men. Other friends of her guys had also visited, and now she had more friends than ever. Every time someone from the club turned up, the woman always brought a casserole or lasagna or some other dish. The freezer was so full of home-cooked meals they wouldn’t need to go shopping for quite some time.
Lexis had resigned from the diner and was back to studying to be a physiotherapist online. One or all of her men called or came home each day to make sure she was okay, and while she loved that they were worried about her, there was no need anymore.
She’d spent most of the day studying, and when she’d finished, she’d put a casserole in the oven on low to warm.
Her guys were due home any minute, and she wanted to make love with them, show them how much she loved them. She hadn’t remembered until after her men had left for work that she’d been going to tell them she loved them as soon as she could, but her mind had been a little scattered after getting hit so hard in the head, but she was getting better and better each day.
She smiled when she heard the front door open and close but didn’t move from where she was lying on the bed.
“Lexis, where are you, baby?” Preston called out.
“In the bedroom,” she answered just as loudly. If she hadn’t replied so quickly he, Jonah, and Adam would have ended up panicking. Her men still weren’t over the horror of her being kidnaped.
“Are you okay, sweetie?” Adam asked just before he entered the bedroom. He sucked in a deep breath, closed his eyes, and groaned.
“What’s wrong, love?” Jonah asked as he shoved Adam aside.
She giggled when he stumbled as he caught sight of her lying naked on the bed.
“So fucking sexy,” Preston rasped out when he entered the room and spotted her.
Lexis sat up, trying to ignore the way her body warmed at the heated stares from her men. All three of them started removing their clothes quickly, dropping each article onto the floor.
Adam climbed up beside her, and when he went to pull her into his arms, she stopped him with a hand on his shoulder. Jonah crawled up onto the end of the bed, and Preston got up on her other side.
“I never got to thank you all for coming to my rescue.” She met each of her men’s eyes. “So thank you.”
They glanced at each other before looking back at her.
“You’re welcome, love,” Jonah said. He caressed his hands up and down her legs, turning her insides to melted mush.
“There’s something I’ve been meaning to say but the time never seemed right.”
“What is it?” Preston asked. “You know you can tell us anything, don’t you?”
Lexis laced her fingers with Preston’s and gazed into his eyes. “I love you, Preston Nevin.”
Preston lifted her hand to his mouth and kissed the back of it. “I love you, too, baby,” he said hoarsely.
Lexis turned toward Adam. She cupped his cheek in her hand. “I love you, Adam Carson.”
“I love you, too, sweetie. So fucking much.” Adam bent and kissed her softly, lingeringly, lovingly on the lips.
Lexis stared into Jonah’s eyes, beckoning him by crooking her finger. He crawled up closer to her on his hands and knees until he was straddling her hips. She placed her hand on his chest right over his heart. “I love you, Jonah Morris.”
“I love you, too, Lexis. You’re my world, love.”
“And your mine.” She looked at each of her men in the eye again. “I want you all to make love to me.”
“It would be our pleasure, baby.”
Jonah bent down and pressed his mouth over hers. Adam and Preston massaged and kneaded her breasts. Jonah broke the kiss before scooting back down the bed, kissing his way over her stomach, stopping to twirl his tongue around her belly button and the inside of her thighs.
Preston slanted his mouth over hers, and Adam suckled on one of her nipples.
Lexis moaned and gasped and writhed under her lovers’ carnal ministrations until she couldn’t stand another second of the sweet torture.
Adam removed his mouth from her breast at the same time Preston broke the kiss. They gazed at each other for a second, leaned over her, and kissed passionately. She caressed her hands down over their bellies, gripped their cocks, and began to pump her hands up and down.
Jonah lashed the tip of his tongue over her clit as he thrust two fingers in and out of her soaked pussy.
She was burning up from the sexy sight of her men kissing and touching each other, while she was kissed and touched, as well. Lexis hadn’t ever seen a more loving, hotter sight.
Jonah knew just where to touch and lick. All too soon, she was racing toward orgasm, but she didn’t want to climax without her men. “Wait!” She gasped for breath. “I want us all to come together.”
“Whatever you need, love,” Jonah said as he sat up between her splayed legs, wiping her juices from his chin.
“Adam, lie on your back,” Preston commanded.
A shiver of heat raced up her spine. Lexis loved it when Preston went all Dom on them. She shifted over to make room for Adam in the center of the mattress.
“Lexis, straddled Adam and take his dick inside of you,” Preston rasped out.
She scrambled to her hands and knees with Preston’s help, lifted her leg, and sat astride Adam’s hips. Adam clasped her pelvis to steady her as she settled, then she reached under her, gripped his cock, and sank down over his thick, hard dick. He groaned and she moaned.
Preston caressed his hands up and down her back as he reached for the tube of lube Jonah handed him. Lexis was so hungry for her lovers she was shaking. Every time Adam’s cock twitched inside her, her inner walls rippled along his length.
“Take a deep breath for me, baby,” Preston said. “When I push in, release the air in your lungs.”
“Yes, Sir.” Air whooshed from her lungs as Preston drove his condom-covered cock into her ass. As soon as she felt his pelvis and groin against her butt cheeks, she turned toward Jonah.
Before she could reach for his cock and take him into her mouth, Preston spoke up. “Jonah, suit and lube up.”
Jonah swallowed audibly and nodded. After he’d covered his dick with a rubber and lube, he cupped Preston’s neck and kissed him voraciously. Lexis moaned, her pussy clenching around Adam’s dick.
“If you don’t hurry up, our girls going to milk the cum right out of my balls,” Adam panted out.
Jonah released Preston’s lips, then moved around behind him.
Lexis was pusher further onto Adam’s cock as Jonah plunged his dick into Preston’s ass.
And then they all started moving together. One after the other and back again.
Lexis curled her fingers into Adam’s shoulders as she was pushed and pulled forward and back. Jonah shuttled in and out of Preston’s ass. Preston pistoned in and out of her ass, and she undulated on Adam’s cock.
The pleasure was so intense, she likened it to a runaway freight train. She sped along the track, but the ending was in sight. She was going to hit so hard she wondered if she’d explode into a million pieces.
And then she was hovering right on the edge of the abyss.
“Now!” Preston yelled.
Adam reached down between their bodies and pinched her clit.
Lexis screamed as she was catapulted toward the heavens. She quivered and quaked as rapture swept her up to blissful heights. Juices dripped from her pussy with joyous nirvana.
Preston and Jonah shouted and yelled, climaxing at the same time. Adam shoved his cock deep into her contracting pussy and roared as he, too, reached his peak.
Lexis panted as she tried to regain her breath, satisfied and happy beyond her wildest dreams after making love with her men.
Once they’d a
ll disentangled, Adam lifted her into his arms and carried her into the bathroom to help her clean up. Jonah and Preston joined them.
When they were dried and dressed, they headed out to the kitchen for dinner.
She stopped and stared at the dining room table.
There were two vases of red roses in the middle of the table, as well as lit candles, plates, wine glasses, and gleaming silverware.
She had no idea when or how they’d done this, but suspected that one of them had snuck in the back to set everything up while she’d been languishing naked in bed waiting for her men to get home. Whoever had done it had been so quiet she hadn’t heard them.
“This is so beautiful. Thank you,” she whispered, trying to keep her tears at bay.
She walked closer to the table, but before she could sit down, Adam pulled out the chair and turned it to face away from the dinner table. She sat when he urged her to and frowned when he moved back to stand next to Preston.
Preston cleared his throat as he stuck one of his hands in his pocket. “We love you so very much, Lexis. We’re so glad you gave us a chance when most women would have turned away from us in disgust.”
She stopped breathing when Adam and Jonah knelt down on one knee after Preston nodded to them.
Preston slowly sank to his knee, as well.
“You complete us, Lexis.” Adam threaded his fingers with hers lifted her hand to his mouth and kissed the back of it.
